Spoiler alert inside.
Seems like it's a case of Lewis expecting Nico to back off like he's done in previous races and Nico saying "fuck it, not this time". This season just gets better and better.

I'm expecting a pre-grid fistfight sometime in the next three races.

I'm rooting for Niko to win the world championship.

Nico would wipe the floor with Hamilton and I'd pay cash money to see that.

Seriously though, the internal conflict of the Mercedes team with Nico and Lewis is really entertaining. They're both immensely talented, they both have two of the best cars on the grid, and Mercedes seems to give a very little amount of fucks about who wins, as long as they still get the Constructor's Championship.

Thats exactly what I saw on that replay. There have been numerous occasions this season where Nico could have wrecked Lewis or both Lewis and himself due to Lewis' driving/defending/blocking and has always backed off. Today was the day that he held his line.

Rosberg is a cock. He is going to win the championship but he is still a cock.

I'd prefer Nico over Lewis, but I want to see Mercedes explode so Riccardo can win it. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite drivers, along with Alonso. Alonso was a man on a mission those last few laps (even if it didn't work out).

Except he didn't hold his line, did he? He backed off, like he was going to tuck in behind Hamilton, but cut it short (intentionally or unintentionally). Honestly, I wonder if it was truly a mistake on Nico's part and he decided to say it was intentional to his boss just to not admit he made an error (and to piss off Hamilton).

I'm glad they've let them go at each other so far, but this latest development might mean they'll change that (not that the two drivers would listen to their orders at this point).

I'm rooting for them to be within 13 points of each other going into the final race.

Yeah, it was great to see Kimi do well today (and the fight with Vettel, Alonso and the McLarens at the end was great), but I've become a Ricciardo fan, for sure. Actually seems like a real human and a nice guy, compared with so many of the prima donnas out there.

I'm sure growing up in Monaco had nothing to do with that.

I'm okay with Ricciardo winning it all.

Oddly enough I'm skeptical that it was intentional. It really looked like he was taking a look at Hamilton, letting him know he was there, and then was trying to tuck back in behind Hamilton and just caught him in the process. It was either an accident and this is a weird cover or he's one slick operator.

What?! I thought he was German!
